The Full Monty are based on the steel workers that lost their jobs because the steel mills of Sheffield went bankrupt. Gary ”Gaz ” was one of the workers and are now desperate for money cause he need to pay the child support for his son Nathan. He and his friend Dave saw one day a crowd of women lined up outside a local club to see an Chippendales striptease. They decided that they could form a striptease together with some old work buddies to make money. The had an addition to get more people to their plan and found some good ones. They started to practice but it didn't look so bright and some of them felt ashamed for what they were going to do and wanted to leave the male striptease. But Gaz convince them to stay and even though they face a lot of setbacks, they succeed in the end.
I thought that The Full Monty was a very interesting and special movie. It was kinda good but maybe not my taste when it comes to movies. In some parts it felt awkward but that was making it a little bit funny. I would also say that it was a bit weird and unique. I don't think that i would watch it again but i would recommend you to watch it if you have nothing else to do and you´re bored. One thing that i really liked about this movie was that it felt liked ”normal” people that lost their jobs and needed money, it felt liked all off this could happened in real life.
